RC Tagaytay City Launches “The Hope Project” for PDLs

Silang, Cavite — The Rotary Club of Tagaytay City, under the leadership of President UCP

Mildred T. Bernardo, launched The Hope Project on July 1, 2025, at Chavez Estate Restaurant in

Silang, Cavite.

The ongoing exhibit showcases a curated collection of artworks, woodcrafts, handmade bags,

and small furniture pieces—all crafted by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). More than a

display of creativity, the initiative aims to generate funds to assist qualified and deserving PDLs

with bail, fines, and essential medical needs.

Each purchase made at the exhibit becomes a gesture of compassion, offering second chances

and dignity to those who seek rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

Through this project, RC Tagaytay City exemplifies Rotary’s mission of service above

self—transforming lives, restoring hope, and proving that even behind bars, beauty, purpose,

and change can thrive.
